 Super Stars Show Choir
(This class is not available for Fall 2008)
Our children's performing choir focuses on singing and actions.  Super Stars is open to ALL youth! No experience required--just the desire to have fun in a comprehensive music program that promotes self-confidence. This unique program will teach your child performance technique and skills for success by providing training in vocal pitch, dancing, showmanship, music theory and confidence.  Come join us in class for a fun experience with music!
 
Age Groups: 6 and up

 
Clogging Classes
This form of dance expression teaches a person teaches a person to use their feet as an instrument making rhythmic sounds, accompanied by music.  Students will learn traditional form clogging as well as creative dance.  Come have fun making lots of noise!

Dance Classes
Rhythm and grace, with some fun and laughter sprinkled on top!  Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet, as well as upbeat showy jazz dancing.  Ballet is the basis of most dance styles and so it's a perfect beginning to every class.  We focus on posture, technique and strength.  Jazz is the term to define contemporary, popular dance.  It includes everything from the boogie woogie of the 1950s to the choreography seen on Broadway and TV today.

High School & Middle Jazz Dance
    At The Studio, we believe that everyone can dance - and if you can't, we'll teach you!  This opportunity used to be available at school, but we just can't bear to let it disappear.  Come learn creative dance technique along with flexibility, turns, leaps, and various combinations to popular, fun songs.   No tryouts, everyone welcome.  Ages 12-18. 
    Classes will start in August and meet at 2pm for the entire month at the park by the Vale Bus Sheds. The first class is August 8th and will be a meeting to chat about requirements and give you an idea of what to expect.  Starting in September, we will meet three Fridays a month for 90 minutes.  I will keep you updated with which Friday you have off.  September-November class will tentatively meet at 1pm in the Vale Elementary Cafeteria. 
    Registration will be $50 which will cover costumes.  Monthy tuition is $35.  Every dancer will need to purchase a pair of black jazz dance shoes to wear for class.  Exercise attire to move and stretch in will be worn for practice and bring running shoes as well.  (Payless carries jazz shoes, or check the internet.) Order your jazz shoes early since they can take up to 6 weeks to arrive.  Some Saturday's will be used for costuming and fine tuning dances.
   Performances will be football and basketball half times and the winter recital in December.  Keep the Vale 4th of July Parade in mind as a performance, as well as invitations from the community.
 
 
Boys Hip Hop
Girls aren't the only ones with RHYTHM!  Come join us for a fun class breaking down and stomping the yard.  We'll work on hand/eye coordination, rhythm, break dancing, and flexibility.  Every football player needs fancy footwork to score touchdowns!Registration will be $50 which will cover costumes.  Monthy tuition is $30.
